Aficionado is a home for the books, games, films, series, and albums that stay with you—and a way to remember why.
What ‘Aficionado’ means
An aficionado has a deep, thoughtful affection for a subject. It is about enthusiasm, not expertise: you do not need to know everything or defend your taste. Devotion and appreciation rooted in affection are enough.
Why I built it
When I try to remember the books, games, films, series, and albums I have loved—or that affected me deeply—I often have to search my mind from scratch. I wanted one easy, visually satisfying place for the art that stayed with me. Aficionado is my attempt to build that place.
A living scrapbook
Search for a title and Aficionado brings in its artwork and details. You can add a note about why it matters, record a meaningful date if you have one, and build a Profile that becomes a living scrapbook of what touched and shaped you.
It is not a rating system, a review site, or an exhaustive log of everything you consume.
What comes next
Today, Aficionado focuses on preserving what has already mattered. The planned direction includes a cross-media backlog for recommendations and intriguing titles you may want to explore, alongside smaller improvements across the roadmap.
